What’s the Best Way to Approach Family and Friends?

What’s the best way to approach family and close friends about your business? Well, what we’re taught in network marketing is that we should approach family and friends first.

The problem is that most of us have no experience with this. We try to sell them on the product or the opportunity, and when we do we, frankly, sound like salesmen.

Many people even say, “Hey, brother, you’ll make a killing in this business. You’ll make 20,000, 30,000 dollars a month.” Of course, by doing that we act differently than they know we are.

Remember two thing here. It’s important to, number one, show respect for these people and number two, don’t take them for granted. What I would propose is there’s two best approaches to handling this.

One is the support approach and one is the practice approach. Let me give you an example. First, the support approach. “Hey, mom, I just got involved in a new business and one of the things that I appreciate is your support.

I’m grateful and I’d really appreciate your support with becoming my customer. Just try my product, try my service for a month and if you’re not happy, no problem.”

Remember, that most of marketing is actually getting people to just try something.

The practice approach. “Hey, mom, I just joined a business. I’m not here to pressure you, in fact, I know this business is not for you. I just need to practice. I need somebody to listen and practice with.

Would you help me?” I think if you approach your family and close friends in one of these two manners, you ought to have more success.

I hope you got value here today and if you did, check out doctorstevesabosleads.com and learn about the system that I use.
