Are you having a problem getting people to look at your product, or service, or business? What I want to talk about today is the concept of attraction marketing.
For those of you who don’t know, I am an emergency doctor. I work full time at that. I’m getting calls and emails all the time from recruiters who want to sell me on a new job, on a new business, in a sense.
What really irks me is, they’re either assuming that I’m looking for a new job, or they just want to force something on me that I’m not interested in.
They started off by asking me. I tell them that I wasn’t interested in looking for a new job.
The same thing happens on the internet and on social media with a lot of people. On Instagram, on Facebook. What they do is, all they talk about is their business.
They say “Buy me. Buy my business. Join me.” and there’s nothing else. Frankly, there’s no value in that. This is really where the concept of attraction marketing comes in. It’s really about creating value for people.
Let me give you some examples. One way of creating value for people, is if your company deals with weight loss or weight loss products, give people a diet or a healthy recipe.
If your company deals with beauty products, give some tips on how to make yourself more beautiful. In addition to that, inspirational quotes.
Any of you who follow me on LinkedIn, or Instagram, or Facebook, know that I put at least one, if not two, inspirational quotes on every single day.
In summary, there is really a lot of time that we all spend on social media.
Wouldn’t you rather be inspired by somebody’s inspirational quotes? Wouldn’t you rather learn something new? Rather than see somebody’s page on social media that just seems to say “Buy me. Buy from me.”
