How to Start A Conversation with a Prospect

My topic today is how to start a conversation with a prospect. Well, let me tell you, this applies to either online conversations or offline conversations.

 

The key here is to start with anything in the discussion, except your business.

 

 

Just like when you meet people socially, you wouldn’t slam them with your business the first time you meet them. There’s a great acronym here, it’s called FORM for what to think about to talk to people. F: family, O: occupation, R: recreation, and M: message, money, motivation.

 

Always try to compliment somebody, but try to be sincere, look for a problem that they may have, and then ask, “Are you open to,” whatever you’re asking them about.
