My topic today is two great tips for offline marketing. I’ve got to tell you when people do cold market prospecting their biggest problem is they say too much.
Here’s the key, break in communication. Let me give you an example.
You’re at the supermarket check out line, you’re talking to somebody, you’re complimenting somebody.
Then, use the break in communication. Tell them, “Listen, love to chat, but I gotta go pick my mother up at the airport. I got to do a webinar, but just curious, would you at all be open to a side project if it didn’t interfere with what you’re currently doing?”
Now listen, what this does is it tests people for their openness. And, what if they say, “What is it?” Well, what you would say is, “I promise I’ll get back to you. Let me grab your contact information, but I got to go.”
