My topic today is: Do people trust you? You know, there’s a saying, a great saying, people do business with people they know, like, and trust.
Let me tell you a quick story about our plumber. A couple of months ago, we had a leak in the ceiling. What did we do? We called our plumber. Why? Because we knew him, we like him, and we trusted him.
He came, he did a job, I’m not going to get into the details, but he submitted a bill that we thought was, frankly, very outrageous.
We tried to negotiate with him. He wouldn’t negotiate with us, and therefore, we lost his trust.We thought we knew him. We thought we liked him. We no longer trust him.
