Well, first what I would tell you is that a lot of people will tell you that money’s not important, and some of them may actually say, “Listen. Money’s not important, but family and health are important to me.”
What I would suggest to you as one type of response would substitute the word poverty for money, and then say back to them, “So what you’re really saying to me is that poverty is really important to my family and my health.”
No. Obviously that doesn’t make any sense, and hopefully, they’re going to see that, and if they do, they’re also going to realize that the first quote doesn’t make sense.
