How do you get more people to show up at events?
Let me answer that question with another question. Why is that important? Well, a few things first. I’m referring to one-on-one, group and destination events.
People gain strength and they learn from presenters. It’s a validation of your decision as you meet other people in the same boat as you.
Of course, events make money. Eric Worre even says, “If you bring somebody to a destination event, you should make about a $1000 in the calendar year.”
It’s also important to understand why people don’t show up for events and there’s five reasons for that.
Number one. They never intended to go. Number two. You haven’t shown enough value to them. Number three. They lead busy lives. Number four. The fear of the unknown. Number five. Life just happens.
Let me give you a couple of tips for when inviting to help you.
Number one. Got to show value. Number two. You need to be enthusiastic. Number three. Be energetic. Four. Show urgency. Five. “If I, would you?”
This is Eric Warre’s term. If I help you, would you come to this event? Would you bring someone with you, to this event?
Finally, it’s important to promote and not announce. People who announce just tell people about the event.
People who promote, tell people about the event but they also show value, they’re enthusiastic, urgency and they repetitively talk the event up.
