Do you struggle telling your story? Well, it’s so important to be ready with your story for when you need it.
You should be telling it every day to everybody you meet. It’s important that you write it down. It’s important that you practice it, record it, take a look at it, make sure you have it down pat.
You should get it narrowed down to one, maybe two minutes at tops. When do you tell your story? When people say, “What do you do?” When you’re out prospecting.
When you’re on an elevator. After all, it is your elevator speech. If you’re at a meeting, an opportunity meeting, be ready to tell your story.
What are the good elements, the four elements of your story? Well, number one, you want to talk about your background. Number two, tell the things that you don’t like about your present job.
Number three, you’ve found network marketing. You’ve found this opportunity. You found this company.
Number four, talk about the feelings you have for the future, or if you have results, talk about the results that you have.
Let me give you an example. One of my upline partners, a physician, very successful at her job, and she found that she didn’t have time for her husband or her four kids.
She discovered network marketing, discovered her company and, lo and behold, she worked very hard at it and she was able to retire herself, was able to retire her husband.
Her family was able to move into the house of their dreams. They’ve become very successful. She, as a result of that, has been able to spend more time with her family.
Telling your story is just so important in network marketing. Just try to remember these are the four elements: Your background, things you don’t like about your job.
You found network marketing. You found your product and, because of that, whatever your story is, and talk about your results.
