Do you have difficulty handling rejection? Today’s topic, then, is rejection and no’s. No matter where we are in life, we all get told no. In network marketing and small business, it’s really no different.
The important thing to know here and learn here is that it’s important not to get addicted to the outcome. Every step you take, even the no’s, get you that much closer to your goals.
In fact, what some people say is go for no. What does that mean? That means that, for example, it takes you ten clients or ten presentations to do in order to get one or two people to say yes, well, then, you should embrace the no’s.
You should say I’m going to get eight no’s today, and that should be your goal for the day.
I’d like to just relate a story about myself and about rejection and about no’s. I’m a practicing emergency physician right now. I applied several years ago to medical school and I didn’t get accepted to an American medical school.
Did I say, that’s it, I’m going to give up, I’m not going to become a doctor? No, not at all. In fact, I ended up going to medical school in France, finished in Chicago and years later today I reached my goal and I’m a physician. Same with network marketing, same with small business.
I think the important thing here is to embrace the no’s, be determined, be set on your goals, look forward, and don’t look back
