You know what most people do with these events? What they do is they try to pitch people, they try to sell to people, they try to get people to buy.

 

 

This is the wrong thing to do with these events.

 

What you want to do, you want to connect with people, you want to get their business cards, get their contact information and then you want to follow up with them after the event.

 

This is exactly what my wife and I did at a vendor event recently. We connected with people, we actually gave samples of our product out and then we followed up with them.

 

We called them, e-mailed them, texted them. So, you want to connect with people? You want to succeed in your business? Follow up with them after the event.
