You know what the key is here? The key is to just be honest, and let the other person talk.
You know this is really important at a networking event. At a networking event, everyone wants to pitch their own business but here’s the thing, you can be different if you’re a good listener.
You know if somebody does say “What is it you do?”, be honest with them. I might say, “Well I’m a doctor and I have a part-time home business. What about you?”.
See what I’m doing, I’m throwing the conversation back to them, letting them talk more. So the keys here, be honest and let the other person talk.
