Hello everybody, Dr. Steve here, my topic today is “How To Prospect Old Friends On Social Media.”
First, I would say it is hard to prospect people on social media and I always tell my team that once you start a conversation on social media you want to get it offline as quickly as possible but if you do, if they’re old friends, my suggestion is don’t spend a lot of time with rapport, don’t go in circles.
What I would suggest is the following, “Hey John, I’d love to catch up but I got to ask you would you be open to taking a look at a side business I’m working on? If yes, great. If not, no problem.”
And then if they say no, you say “Cool! no problem. By the way, how are the kids? How’s your job going? How’s the family?”
